Our companies

In this 4 weeks we had to work for these spanish company in the technological park (PTA)
  • Global Teleworking (Sven)
Global Teleworking is a Spanish company founded in September 1998 by experienced Finnish IT-professionals and they have offices in Spain and Finland.
This company offer you solutions and resources in areas of programming, analysis and project management and they are specialized in object-oriented and component based software development tools.

My main task in this company was to develop a web application in PHP and the database system Oracle. With this application the customer can analyse the political development of spain. All this data is stored in an Oracle database and can be modified with the webinterface that is programmend with PHP. In 4 weeks I programmed some usefull functions, for example to generate an Excel-File out of an result and to download all the files as an archive.

Also I programmend a PHP Class that gives you the possibility to connect to different database type with the same builded database queries and an usefull webinterface to send some queries to the database, that are builded only by selecting options or putting some values in an input and so the user needs no experience in SQL.

  • Anovo (Thomas, Philipp)
Anovo is a group which entains 5200 employees in 3 business segments and 20 centers of excellence. The main workfield of Anovo is repairing and testing Hardware in the 3 Maingroups, Mobility, Displays and Access. Anovo in a Global Player in hardware solutions, they are established in many countries for example, spain, Poland and USA.

Our workfield was in repairing and testing laptops. We worked in diagnosis and reparation. Our main work was changing Hardware and spare parts. Our activity area was in an industry shed, we worked there with round about 300 people. We got the impression that the economy situation of Anovo in spain is tense because theyve got business competition of other countries with cheaper workstations.

  • IES Campanillas (Yvonne, Kevin)
We had to work from 9 am to 2 pm. On the day we started working at the school we were offered to have breakfast for free. We had an own office where we performed most of our tasks. So we had breakfast in the cafeteria every morning before we started working.

Most of the tasks were hardware maintenance jobs, for example checking, installing, renewing computers or hardware components if they were damaged. We also had to look for a software to enable the colleagues to plan different programs (for example for: announcements, news and photos/videos) to run automatically.

In addition Juan Sanchez and Sergio Banderas wanted to control the computer of the school tv by remote desktop. To make this possible we installed vnc-clients in the secretary and on the headmasters computer. Another task was to mark the ceiling of the language laboratory where the beamer was to be installed, so first we had to read up on the right distance for the beamer on different websites. In hindsight it really was fun to work at the IES Campanillas. The teachers have been very friendly, but conversation was difficult due to the lingual abilities.

  • Solbyte (Rene)
In March 2008, I had an internship at the company Solbyte Servicios informaticos. Solbyte the company is a small but versatile and professional firm in the software development. In the training period, I was concerned with a project, which is a programming a PHP application. The PHP application is a program for the management of projects for a PageRank optimizations. In this time I improved my knowledge in PHP programming.

It was a very interesting time, where I get a lot of new experiences culturally and professionally carry. Especially I was surprised about the friendly behaviour of the new colleagues and the company's management. The lessons learned here are in my opinion very valuable and in any case the Leonardo Da Vinci Project continues to be recommended.
